Welcome the Five Mile House Website Thank you for taking the time to look at our (new) website. Whether you are a regular or a possible new customer to the Five Mile, we hope you find the site informative and a true taste of what we have to offer. The Five Mile House is a Traditional Free House, run by a Father and Son partnership – Jon and Jo Carrier. We have no ties to any breweries or parent companies; we are just running the Pub as we would like to find it. With a little luck, you’ll like it too! Jon can usually be found in the Bar ensuring the beer is in good condition, whilst generally putting the world to rights with his fellow drinkers. Jo and his team of local lads and lasses run the Kitchen and Restaurant, offering you fresh, quality home made food in a friendly Pub atmosphere. Should you wish to make a booking, please telephone us on 01285 821432 Unfortunately, we are not able to take bookings by Email Finally, those of you that know us, will no doubt pass comment on this website in the form of grammar and spelling lessons! OVER THE YEARS WE HAVE FOUND THAT THE FOLLOWING “RULES“ (not a word we like to use much) HELP TO PRESERVE THE PUB‘S ATMOSPHERE AND INTEGRITY: We are a traditional pub serving food, not a restaurant. We offer full table service for the food, but we would ask you to get your own drinks from the bar. Please do not embarrass the staff by asking them for drinks at the table. Similarly, to preserve the traditional and unique atmosphere of the room, we will not, under any circumstances, serve food in the Bar. |
